Bengals position DE Cam Pattern on IR, signal pair of DL

Cincinnati Bengals defensive finish Cam Pattern (96) walks to the apply box on the Bengals NFL apply in Cincinnati on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

The Cincinnati Bengals positioned defensive finish Cameron Pattern on injured reserve and signed two defensive linemen amongst a slew of strikes Wednesday.

Pattern, 24, will leave out the 2024 season with the torn Achilles he suffered all the way through 11-on-11 drills all the way through Monday’ apply. The transfer to IR all the way through camp makes him ineligible to go back all the way through the common season.

To strengthen their line in Pattern’s absence, the Bengals introduced the signings of undrafted rookie DE Andre Carter and DT Joshua Pryor.

In corresponding strikes, the Bengals waived punter Austin McNamara and huge receiver Tre Mosley.

Pattern began two of his 17 video games performed final season, logging 29 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks and 8 quarterback hits. In 3 seasons with the Bengals, he has 68 tackles, 5 sacks and 20 quarterback hits in 47 video games (3 begins).

Pryor performed in seven video games with the Washington Commanders final season.

Carter recorded 15 sacks in six seasons at Western Michigan and Indiana.
