UN adopts global’s first treaty to give protection to prime seas biodiversity


NEW YORK, June 19 (Reuters) – The U.N. has followed the sector’s first treaty to give protection to the prime seas and maintain marine biodiversity in world waters, marking a milestone after just about two decades of effort, U.N. Secretary-Basic Antonio Guterres introduced Monday.
