USA Kicks Off U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifying with 6-0 Win Against Panama


The Americans face Jamaica in their next match on Sunday, May 28 (6 p.m. ET; FS2) and close out Group A play on Tuesday, May 30 against Canada.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • This was the third meeting between the U.S. and Panama in this tournament. The teams met in group play at the 2012 and 2015 competitions, with the USA winning 6-0 and 6-1, respectively.
  • In her sixth U-20 cap tonight, Ally Sentnor scored her second and third career U-20 WYNT goals. She scored her first in the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup vs. Ghana.
  • Kat Rader notched her fourth career goal at the U-20 level in just her third cap.
  • Jordynn Dudley, Lauren Martinho and Ally Lemos all made their first U-20 WYNT appearances tonight and scored their first goals at the U-20 level.
  • Every player who saw action tonight earned her first cap in a Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship and all but Sentnor, Rader and goalkeeper Teagan Wy earned their first-ever U-20 international caps.
  • U.S. head coach Tracey Kevins made three changes in the 63rd minute and two more just past the 70th, giving first U-20 caps to outside backs Tessa Dellarose and Leah Klenke, Martinho and forwards Onyeka Gamero and Maggie Cagle, whose mom Kelly earned one full USWNT cap in 1994.
