Cleveland Guardians right-hander Tanner Bibee is not going to make his scheduled get started Saturday towards the Baltimore Orioles as a result of a sore correct shoulder, supervisor Stephen Vogt stated Thursday.
Rookie left-hander Joey Cantillo is predicted to start out in Bibee’s position for the Guardians, in first position within the American League Central.
Bibee, 25, gave up two runs on seven hits over six innings in a win towards the Detroit Tigers on Monday when he stepped forward to 9-4 with a three.48 ERA. Since making his main league debut remaining season, he’s 19-8 with a three.21 ERA in 47 begins.
Cantillo, 24, made his main league debut Sunday when he gave up 3 runs on 4 hits over 3 1/3 innings in a no-decision towards the Philadelphia Phillies. Cantillo used to be bought from the Padres in 2020 as a part of the bundle that despatched right-hander Mike Clevinger to San Diego.
