Two uncommon blue-eyed cicadas have been noticed within the Chicago suburbs

Two separate households within the Chicago suburbs stumbled upon a “one in one million” blue-eyed cicada, sharing footage of the colourful insect.

Greta Bailey advised Fox Information Virtual that her 4-year-old son, Jack, was once accumulating the most often red-eyed cicada when the circle of relatives first noticed the bright-eyed insect of their Wheaton, Illinois yard.

Bailey advised FOX 59 that she didn’t understand that blue-eyed cicadas existed – till one wandered into her yard.

“I assumed it was once cool and distinctive and had no longer heard that blue-eyed cicadas even existed,” Bailey stated.

Bailey stated that her circle of relatives loved taking footage of the cicada prior to they launched it again into the wild.

Pictures from Bailey confirmed the small and unusually blue-eyed cicada being held via her 3 kids.

Some other lady in a Chicago suburb discovered a “one in one million” blue-eyed cicada whilst visiting a nature keep. 

Kelly Simkins, who owns Merlin’s Rocking Puppy Display, shared her placing to find in a Fb put up, snapping an image of the cicada’s shiny blue eyes.
