Temple soccer trainer Stan Drayton used to be fired Sunday after just about 3 seasons at the process.

The transfer comes someday following the Owls’ 18-15 time beyond regulation victory towards FAU.

Drayton, 53, guided Temple to a 3-7 file general (2-4 within the American Athletic Convention) at the season and 9-25 general (4-18 AAC) since he took over this system in 2022.

Defensive coordinator Everett Withers has been named the staff’s meantime head trainer for the rest of the season.

“I wish to lengthen my appreciation to Trainer Drayton for his dedication to Temple College, our student-athletes and the soccer program during the last 3 years,” Owls athletic director Arthur Johnson stated.

“… With the converting panorama of school soccer and the playoff layout, the chance for Temple soccer hasn’t ever been larger. Our expectation is to compete for American Athletic Convention titles, seem in bowl video games persistently, and construct a program that our lovers, alumni, and scholars may also be pleased with in the school room and at the box. I’m assured that our lovers will rally round our student-athletes and improve them as they all the time have.”

The Owls talk over with Texas-San Antonio on Friday and host North Texas on Nov. 30 to conclude their season.
