BALTIMORE — Orioles rookie outfielder Colton Cowser exited Sport 2 of Wednesday’s American League wild-card collection towards the visiting Kansas Town Royals with left hand ache.
Cowser was once hit at the hand as he struck out swinging on 97 mph fastball from Royals left-hander Angel Zerpa with the bases loaded for the second one out of the 5th inning.
Cowser stayed in left box for the highest of the 6th inning however didn’t pop out for the 7th. He was once changed through Heston Kjerstad.
The favourite for AL Rookie of the Yr, Cowser, 24, batted .242 with 24 house runs and 69 RBIs over 153 regular-season video games for Baltimore.
Cowser struck out in all 3 at-bats Wednesday and is 1-for-7 to start out the postseason.
