A Texas girl was once attacked via a hawk and a snake on the identical time after the hen – which eats snakes – by accident dropped the wriggling serpent on her.
Peggy Jones, 64, was once mowing her garden final month when a passing hawk dropped a snake on her sooner than swooping all the way down to angrily attempt to reclaim its meal.
The snake wrapped itself round her arm and started putting her face because the hen sunk its talons deep into her flesh.
The terrifying ordeal left her with cuts and bruising to her arm and face.
The odd incident happened on 25 July within the the city of Silsbee, Texas, close to the Louisiana border.

“As I used to be looking to sling my arm and sling the snake off, the snake wrapped round my arm,” she instructed CBS Information, the BBC’s US spouse.

She realised it should were dropped via a passing hen, since she was once no longer status below bushes when it took place. Her assumption was once temporarily showed when the hawk swooped down and joined within the melee.
“Then the hawk gave the impression simply as speedy because the snake gave the impression,” Mrs Jones stated.
“The hawk grabbed the snake that was once wrapped round my arm and pulled it like he was once going to hold it away. And when he did, it flung my arm up. The hawk was once wearing my arm and the snake with it.”
The hawk struggled to take away the snake from Mrs Jones frame, stabbing her with its talons time and again because it tried to clutch again its meals.
In the end the snake was once pulled from her arm, leaving her startled husband to force her to the health facility.
“There have been puncture wounds, cuts, abrasions, scratches and serious bruising,” she stated, including that the snake’s assaults to her face broken her glasses.
Mrs Jones described the assault as significantly anxious, including that she concept she was once going to die and has had hassle drowsing because it took place.
She instructed CBS that residing in rural Texas, she is not any stranger to natural world encounters.
“I have in truth observed a hawk select up a snake. That is one thing they do, that is how they kill their prey,” she stated.
