Former Hokie competes at Global College Video games

CHENGDU, CHINA – Hokie alumni, Sam Tornqvist, will compete on the FISU Global College Video games in Chengdu for the primary time in his swimming profession. Tornqvist shared his tale concerning the onerous paintings and coaching he put into this pageant in an interview for the Global College Video games website online. Right through his interview, Tornqvist mentions how the constant coaching he continued whilst at Virginia Tech helped him turn into the swimmer he’s these days. A mix of dryland coaching, weight coaching and swimming coaching, and his teammates’ competitiveness driven him to turn into a greater swimmer. 

Tornqvist used to be a 2022 graduate of Virginia Tech who studied Industry Data and Era. The Swedish swimmer took the name as 2022 ACC Champion within the 200 again and earned many medals whilst at Virginia Tech. 

Now able for his first global multi-sport match, Tornqvist will compete within the swimming portion of the Global College Video games, which can start on August 1. He’ll take at the 50 again, 100 again, 200 again, 200 IM, 4×100 loose relay and 4×100 medley relay.
