LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Businesses at Lake Las Vegas have extended their business hours to accommodate increased visitors this Memorial Day weekend.
The area sets the tone with the lakefront, water sports, and many restaurants.
“Everything is convenient, great restaurants, friends nearby, it’s almost like your little community. You don’t have to go to The Strip,” said Francesco Spina, a customer.
Hundreds of homes recently developed in the area help draw plenty of locals.
Gulia Molli, the owner of Luna Rossa, says foot traffic has increased sales over the last few months.
“They moved in all these communities, and they love to come down to the village and have music and have a great time,” said Molli.
She anticipates Memorial Day weekend to be even more successful with a healthy mix of locals and tourists.
Molli says it’s a much-needed boost due to a drop in sales during the pandemic and inflation.
“Ta-da, for 2-3 years we haven’t had this wine, and it just arrived maybe a week ago, and I’m so happy, and it cost double before COVID, but we have it,” explained the owner.
