A man was arrested in connection with a theft at a local gym, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police were called twice to local fitness centers. Here is information from the reports:
- Engi Rustem, 48, of Hollywood, California, was arrested about 2 p.m. Monday at FFC Elmhurst fitness center, 140 N. Addison Ave., on charges of burglary without causing damage, possession of stolen credit cards and being a fugitive from justice. Police said Rustem was seen at FFC, where he had been previously reported for theft. He left the building, but then was arrested. Rustem tossed a victim’s three credit cards into the street. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A customer at LA Fitness, 620 N. York St., told police that someone forced entry to his gym locker and stole his wallet shortly before noon Tuesday. The customer later said his wallet was found in the parking lot, but his credit card and money were stolen. The suspect was described as a black man and wearing a dark sweatshirt possibly with the hood up and a blue mask covering his face.
